Designed by the architect Humberto Murillo Lozano and approved by the council on 18 August 1989. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:
Imposed over a Spanish field, integrated by four sections and to the center an escutcheon, its blazons are: the Mexican flag which remembers the group of families which did not accept American citizenship and returned to Mexico and founded Guadalupe D.B., a yucca represents the regional flora and a cloud the hope it will rain; the Temple of Our Lady of Guadalupe is the blazon which represents Catholicism, a fleck of cotton and a head of bovine cattle represent respectively agriculture and cattle-raising, the center of the coat of arms is occupied by the way of an escutcheon of the shield of the forward Juan de Oñate, Spanish conquistador who passed through the lands of the today Municipality of Guadalupe D.B. The year 1849 corresponds to the foundation of the population, the two lateral and superior parts of the bordure are checkered, with it the most singular of the conquistadors is remembered; Álvar Núñez de Cabeza de Vaca, first Spaniard who stepped foot on the State of Chihuahua and passed through what is today the Municipality of Guadalupe D.B.
The upper part of the border also reads "GUADALUPE D.B. CHIHUAHUA", with the code 08 for the state to the left and the code 028 for the municipality to the right,
most often used by INEGI for statistical purposes. Just above this is a ribbon reading the motto "ANTE TODO MEXICANOS" [Before all Mexicans].
