Twardogóra - urban-rural commune, Olesnica County, Dolnoslaśląskie Voivodship
- former German name: Festenberg.
Although, the proposals of the flags of Twardogóra were discussed in
September 2005 and submitted by the City Council for the opinion of citizens,
there is no mention if these proposals were adopted. It is very likely
they were. I did inquire at the Town Hall and await the response.
The "Statut" of 2003 gives the desciption of the Arms:"The Arms of
Twardogóra are the green hill with the castle in red color and with three
towers and the gate, all on the blue background.
There is also an image of the angel floating above the castle, on which
sides are two green tree-branches symbolizing the forested vicinity of
the town."
The flagś proposals were the work of the local artist, Mr.Michal Marciniak-Kozuchowski.
The 2005 proposals can be seen also here.
