Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, an eradicated tree Or, flanked by a grapevine Or leaved Argent at dexter and a distaff Or with filament Argent at sinister. Mural crown Argent, first with three visible towers (village rank) (see image above), but due to its elevation to town status in 2009 with four visible towers and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VALONGO DO VOUGA".

Valongo do Vouga Commune is one of the four communes of Águeda Municipality, not affecte by the 2013 mergers; it had 4877 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 43,2 km².
