Shield Argent, in base a doublemount issuant Vert charged with a castle Argent masoned Sable with port and windows Sable, in chief a goshawk Maron holding a cross patty Gules charged with a Greek cross Argent, bordure Gules charged with 12 8-point stars Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and yellow scroll of unusual shape with inscription in black initials "S. BENTO".

Presentation of São Bento

São Bento is one of the 19 communes of the Angra do Heroísmo Municipality; it had 2000 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 8,7 km².
