Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "RIBAMONDEGO".
Meaning:
The word "ribamondego" is a rare amalgamation of two nouns, meaning Cliff/Margin (of the) Mondego River. Until 1954 this settlement (and therefore the commune seated in it) was named instead Cabra. This word means "ninny goat", therefore the arms are partly canting for both, the previous and the current toponyms.
