The arms are Vert a bend wavy Argent between three fleurs de lis Or and three corn cobs Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VALADO DOS FRADES".

Valado dos Frades Commune is one of the three communes of the Nazaré municipality; it had 3107 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 18.4 km².
