It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

Shield Argent, a bar wavy Azure, charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, in chief a bendy baton Sable with a canteen Gules, in base two branches of fig tree Vert fruited Purpure crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FIGUEIRÓ DO CAMPO".
Meaning:
Baton and canteen are representing St. James the Elder, the local patron saint, adored by the locals. The bar wavy is representing the rivers Ega and Mouros and the fertility of the soils. The branches are canting elements, the communes name is derived from "figueira" (= fig tree).

Figueiró do Campo Commune is one of the ten communes of Soure Municipality; it had 1507 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 8.9 km².
