Coat of arms

hield Azure parted per pall reversed wavy Argent, in chief a Marian crown Argent, at dexter an enrolled parchment Or, at sinister an amphora of the same. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "ASSEICEIRA - TOMAR".
Meaning:
The crown is an attribute of Our Lady of Purification, the local patron saint.
