Shield Gules, a throughout aqueduct Argent masoned Sable, having five arches, base wavy Argent, charged with a barrulet wavy Azure and a barrulet wavy Vert, over all a fowl anchor Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FREGUESIA DE VILA DO CONDE".
Meaning:
The Santa Clara Aqueduct was supporting local Sta. Clara Convent with waters from Terroso near Póvoa de Varzim. The project was started in 1626, but it took nearly 90 years, when the first waters reached the convent in 1714. The base wavy is representing the mouth of Ave River, and the anchor is representing shipping
