Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, two plants of corn Vert crossed per saltire, flanked beneath by two cogwheels Azure, in central chief a sword cross Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "FREGUESIA DE VAGOS"
Meaning:
The cross is alluding to the Knights' Order of Santiago. The corn plants are representing agriculture, the cogwheels industries. The base wavy is representing the Aveiro Lagoon (Ria de Aveiro).

Vagos Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vagos Municipality (q.v.); it had 4606 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 21.6 km².

Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SANTO ANTÓNIO DE VAGOS".
Meaning:
The acorn cross is an attribute of St. Anthony of Lisboa and Padua, the local patron saint and name giver of the commune.
