It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain purple field.

Coat of Arms

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent an eucalyptus tree Vert eradicated Sable, on central chief point a mitre Purpure garnished Argent, flanked by two grape bunches Purpure leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MOURE – VILA VERDE".(village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MOURE – VILA VERDE".
Meaning:
The mitre is an attribute of St. Martin, the local patron saint. Grape bunches are blazoned as red (Portuguese: vermelho), but image shows them as purple.

Presentation of Moure Commune

Moure Commune is one of the 21 communes of Vila Verde Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 1378 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 4,67 km².
