Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "FATAUNÇOS".
Meaning:
The pallium, part of the regalia, the robe of an archbishop, probably refers to St. Charles Borromeo, the local patron saint, who had been Archbishop of Milan and later cardinal. He had been one of the protagonists of Catholic counter-reformation and also reformed the Roman Catholic Church. The bridge is a representation of the local Pedrinha Bridge, crossing a short local tributary of the nearby Vouga River. The tributary has its fountain in the commune.
