The seal consists of the Mount Pleasant Confederate Monument overlaying the a map of the United States with a small star marking Mount Pleasant's location. To the left of the monument is the tristar emblem from the Tennessee state flag. At the bottom of the seal is the city's incorporation year, with the city and state names arch on the edge of the seal.
