The Tau Beta Sigma sorority is based in the United States and the main membership is females who are music majors. Not much information about their flag was provided, even in their membership education materials, other than such a flag exists. The flag can be seen at www.butler.edu/studentlife/tbsigma/moreinfo.html.

Both groups [Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma] were founded at Oklahoma State University and have since spread across the US. They are service-oriented, and rarely have a "house" like a social fraternity or sorority. (On US college campuses, there are social fraternities and sororities that often own an actual building where most of the members live together.) The organizations' goal is to support and help improve all bands on campus, but they tend to focus on marching bands. While both organizations began as single-sex organizations, membership in both organizations is now co-ed, and they have long worked together and had joint conventions. In fact, at the University of Michigan, the Nu chapter of KKPsi and Lambda chapter of TBSigma referred to themselves as "Nu-Lambda," members in one were made honorary members in the other, and were, for all practical purposes, just one organization.
