Lloyd's Register for American yachts, 1917, lists the Akron Launch Club, organised 1906, incorporated in 1907, and reorganised in 1911; station: Portage Lakes. This matches the Akron City Directory, 1916, which lists: Portage Lakes
Motor Boat Supply Co. - Home of Akron Launch Club - North of Kenmore Bridge.
By 1929, the burgee was no longer listed in Lloyd's.
The burgee shown is: A very dark blue 2:3 triangle, with centred a white ship wheel, with centred on that a white bar with red letters ALC in a sans font.

Burgee: Broad Pennant circa 2:3 and 2:2 to crutch. Dark blue field charged
with a white ship’s wheel with a white central bar charged

Interesting that they originally used a broad pennant. However, the next
year, 1912, Lloyd's pictures a pennant, just like the one for 1917 which I
already mentioned. Whatever the reorganisation in 1911, it would appear that it
changed the burgee to a pennant.

I don't have an image from Lloyd’s Register of American Yachts. New York,
1911. But I have a miniature here from 1908. It shows the two/tailed version
from before the restructuring.
