Audubon Yacht Club

The Audubon Yacht Club is listed in Lloyd's Register of American Yachts, 1906, as organised in 1886 and incorporated in 1895. At the time, its station is given as 153d Street and Hudson River, New York. By 1908, when after their club house has been lost to a fire the club buys the former houseboat of the Motor Boat Club of America, the club's quarters are given as 165th Street and Hudson River. This is also the station in later editions of Lloyd's.

The burgee is shown as a ca. 2:3 white triangle with a red cross bearing a star in its centre, and a pair of hoist triangles, all aligned on the line half the length of the hoist away from the hoist.

By 1929 the burgee is no longer shown in Lloyd's.

The name is currently in use by a model yacht club at 625 Audubon Blvd, Naples, Florida, USA. I don't know whether they have a burgee, or a club flag, though. Colourful flags are certainly mentioned in describing the site of their races, however.
