The establishment of the Motorboat Club of America in 1905 is described at http://www.lesliefield.com/other_history/formation_of_the_motor_boat_club.htm.
In 1935, the Motorboat Club of America was known to be going bankrupt. As
this meant the Motorboat Club of America burgee would become available, and the Angelica Yacht Club
therefore took it as its burgee.
Regardless of whether they did go
bankrupt that year, from the Angelica Yacht Club adopting the burgee, we know
that that's the same burgee the Motorboat club used before. And Ivan Sache
already pictured the shared burgee of the Motorboat Club of America and
the Angelica Yacht Club for us.
