The Nakhchevān Khanate was established in 1747. Briefly occupied by Russia in 1808, it surrendered on 26 June 1827. Annexed to Russia on 22 February 1828 by the Treaty of Turkmenchay, the khanate was abolished in April 1828.
The flag of the Nakhchevān Khanate captured by Russian troops c. 1827 and currently stored in a museum in St. Petersburg, is horizontally divided green-red with a red eight-pointed star in the green stripe.

The Baku Khanate was recognized in 1727 by Russia. Re-annexed to Persia in 1735, the khanate was refounded in 1747. Vassal of the Quba Khanate from 1768 to 1789, the Baku Khanate was occupied by Russia from July 1796 to March 1797. Placed under Russian suzerainty, the khanate was annexed to Russia on 6 October 1806.

The Ganja Khanate was founded in 1747. Occupied by Russia in 1796-1797, the khanate was annexed to Russia on 3 January 1804.

The Shaki Khanate was founded c. 1380. Annexed to Persia in 1551, then to the Ottoman Empire from 1563 to 1603, it was part of the Shmakha Khanate from 1722 to 1534. Occupied by local rebels from 1743 to 1746, the Shaki Khanate was refounded in 1747. In 1761-1762, it was occupied by the Dagestani Qazi-Qumuq. Vassal of the Kuba Khanate from 1768 to 1799, except between 1774 and 1785, the Shaki Khanate was occupied by Russia in 1796-1797, annexed to Russia on 21 May 1805 and eventually abolished on 5 August 1819. A brief rebellion attempted to proclaim the khanate in 1826.

The Elisu Khanate was founded in 1562 as Taskhur, to be known from c. 1527 as Elisu, from its capital. From 1616 to 1711, it was vassal of Persia, then, from 1722 to 1735, tributary to the Ottoman Empire Annexed To Russia on 17 Paril 1803, the polity was abolished in 1844 after the pro-Imamate rebellion. It was briefly re-occupied by the sultan in 1847.
The flag of the Elisu Khanate, as reported by Khalil-Bek Musaya (Symbols of Dagestan, 1912) was swallow-tailed, white with a red horizontal stripe in the center.
