Vlaamse Volksbeweging is a pluralist action group founded in 1958. As its goal is an independent Flanders, you could say it has a radical viewpoint. It is on no account to be confused with the Vlaams Blok. But on the flag level, of course, both parties prefer the lion with black tongue and claws.
Jan Mertens, 18 November 2002
The official flag of VVB is yellow with a black lion's head facing the hoist. The letters VVB, in Italics, are placed vertically along the hoist. This flag is hoisted over the national headquarters of VVB in Deurne.

Each flag used locally by VVB has the name of the place added below the lion, for example on the image above, Schoten.

Flemish flag sold by VVB - Image by Ivan Sache, 25 February 2004
VVB sells a flag similar to the official flag of Flanders, but the Flemish lion portrayed on the VVB flag differs from the official one by the lack of any red elements and the different design of the lion (more artistic). This flag is not the official flag of VVB.
