A lot of information for its size!
Nick Pharris, 14 Jul 1998
A pocket book with very limited text sections, which may be
extremely frustrating. The texts are full of loose citations. However,
they may also be considered as a good sarting point for looking for
unresolved questions.
Ivan Sache, 09 Jan 2003
Very good illustrations, unfornately ruined by black
lines into the drawings with explanations of this and
that in the drawings…too bad.
Steve Stringfellow, 02 Aug 1999
As far as I can tell, the drawings originate from the
same vector original as the World Flag Data Base. The black
lines are there precisely to “ruin” the images,
I guess, as a way to disencourage cheap piracy… An
excellent book, I say, of outstanding value for its rather
small size.
António Martins, 02 Aug 1999
The difference being that [zna99]
is a basically good work with a big number of mistakes, while
DK’s Pocket Book should be subtitled An Expert’s
Handbook to Flag Urban Legends or somesuch…
Santiago Dotor, 20 May 2004
The second US printing of the first edition
rya97a] is revised from the
“real” first edition. For Bosnia Hertzegovina,
they show the new flag, but there is still
a “tick” mark leading to the center referring to the
shield with fleurs-de-lis of the old
flag!
