In Joseph Nüsse’s website
page
about Bolivian shipping houseflags photos, the flag of Linabol —
Líneas Navieras Bolivianas S.A.M., La Paz. It is a horizontal tricolor of
light blue, red and yellow, with a large “incaic sun” over all
(height approx. 2/3 of the flag’s height); approx. ratio is 3:5.
António Martins, 21 October 2005
The sun is square, yellow lined black, with facial features and straight
thick rays; those at the square’s corners have bird heads in their tips.
The tricolor background, of course, refers to the flag of
Litoral Department, Bolivia’s seaside
territory lost to Chile in 1884.
António Martins, 23 October 2005
From [lgr95]: Lineas Navieras Bolivianas
S.A.M. (LINABOL), La Oaz (sic!) - horizontal triband of red, yellow and
green; in center blue oval charged with white intertwined "LNB". I
would assume that this is the old houseflag, and that
Nüsse’s flag is the new one.
Jarig Bakker, 21 October 2005 and 24 October 2005
Brown’s [lgr95] lists this
flag as belonging to Naviera Nicaraguense S.A.,
(Nanica) — only difference is the proportions of the stripes
(c. 2:3:2), the blue stripe just blue. Brown’s seems to be
wrong with his Nicaragua-outplacement.
