The flag of Barra do Rio Azul is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 60
promulgated on 4 October 1993.
Article 2.
The municipal flag shall be
manufactured according to the descriptive memoir, in dimensions 0.90 m x 1.30 m.
Descriptive synthesis:[...] The differentiation in the colors of the two
rivers is highlighted on the flag through two distinct colors, as it is in real.
Looking from above, this forms the silhouette of a stylized human being; with
the placement of the municipal coat of arms in this body, it unites the body and
mind of the population. The coat of arms, which unites the two visuals, conveys
the idea that Barra de Rio Azul was emancipated under the responsibility of all,
everyone with his own rights and duties.
