The flag of the City of Port Alberni, British Columbia, is white with
the city symbol on it. The city symbol was adopted after amalgamation of the
Cities of Alberni and Port Alberni in 1967. This symbol was designed by
Robert G. Wilson and depicts four trees symbolizing the forest, pointing
north, south, east and west indicating export throughout the world. Port
Alberni remains a major exporter of forest derived wood and paper products
today. Image of the flag and information thanks to Ken Watson, City Manager.
