Information on the City's coat of arms on the City's Web site at:
http://www.city.burlington.on.ca/pandr/heritage.htm. Admittedly, it somewhat difficult to locate. The coat of arms was registered with The Register of All Arms and Bearings in Edinburgh, Scotland, on December, 12, 1975. The official City flag was selected from a design proposed by Canon Ralph Spence and shows the City's coat of arms on a gold Canadian pale with blue borders. This design was approved by City Council on March 12, 1984.

Either the city has adopted new flag, or it adopts one more, as you can see

I have seen this logo flag around town--incidentally, more often than the
official flag. I've been meaning to ask City Hall about this other flag, because
I can assert that the City has not changed its flag; rather, from what I
understand, this other flag is meant to represent Burlington as a "business",
rather than as a "geographic entity".
