Centre Wellington is a sub-county township in southern Ontario. The municipal flag is township crest on green. Special thanks to Lynda Gottfried for municipal crest image and info.
Flag Inquiry Response:
In reply to your request I am pleased to attach the
description of the Township’s official Crest and picture of the crest. The crest
appears on our official Township Flag which is a green background with the Crest
in the centre.
The Township of Centre Wellington was formed in 1999 as a
result of five communities amalgamating; they were the Village of Elora,
Town of Fergus, Township of Nichol, Township of Pilkington, and Township of West
Garafraxa.

Description of the township crest:
The Township’s Crest displays the words
‘Centre Wellington’ and is located in the centre of the Flag. Centre Wellington
is located in the centre of the County of Wellington.
The Crest is
surrounded by two Barley Stalks, representing area farming communities, two
Thistles for its Scottish Heritage, two Trout leaping from the water,
representing the area rivers and fishery and a single Maple Leaf, representing
forestry and green-space.
A Banner at the top of the Crest bears the
words “Township of ” and at the bottom the words “Unity is Strength” which
recognizes the joining of the former municipalities - Town of Fergus, Village of Elora
and the Townships of Nichol, Pilkington and West Garafraxa including a portion
of Eramosa Township.
Etched into the Lower Banner is an outline of
Elora’s Tooth of Time.
The Crest is used not only on our Flag but also on
Township Pins, Letterhead and Vehicle decals.
