On 1 January 2017 the communes of Blitzingen, Niederwald, Grafschaft, Münster-Geschinen and Reckingen-Gluringen merged to the new commune of Goms (see below). It adopted the old emblem of Münster.

On the 1st of January 2001, the 3 fomer communes of Biel, Ritzingen and Selkingen have merged to form the new commune of Grafschaft. The new flag is based on the flag of Biel, three stars have been added to symbolize the 3 former communes merged into the new entity.
