Overview

El Cármen de Bolívar is a municipality located in the Bolívar Department. It was founded on 16 February 1779 by the Spanish infantry Lieutenant Antonio de La Torre y Miranda
The flag of El Cármen de Bolívar is the historical flag of Cartagena State (1811-14), which is today the flag of the departmental capital Cartagena de Indías.
