Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a church spire issuant Argent, at sinister Argent an oak leaf Vert with acorn Or above and a spur Vert below.
Meaning:
On occasion of its 800-years-anniversary Hösbach gained the title of a market town on 29 September 1989. The spire is representing the local church, dedicated to St.Michael. Its tower is a local landmark. Leaf and acorn are symbolising the location in the Spessart, a forest. The spur is representing the local forestry office under the rule of the archbishops of Mainz. The tinctures red and white are also alluding to the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged.
