Description of coat of arms:
The coat of arms of Norden shows three golden mullets (spur wheels) ordered 2:1 in a blue field.
Meaning
The mullets or spur wheels (German: Sporenräder) are derived from the arms of the Idzinga family. This family had much influence in the city, but it is not known when the city adopted the mullets.

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver field is a red flash. The shield has a green chief, showing a silver fish armed golden.
Meaning:
The flash is probably symbolizing Norddeich radio station, which was formerly very famous in Western Germany for sending the Xmas-greetings to German sailors away from home.
