It is a red-white-red vertical triband with ratio of stripes 1:2:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top and in the white stripe.

Meaning:
The village was founded by an order of King Maximilian II of Bayern for colonists. He caused the boring of three wells in 1833 between Augsburg and Klosterlechfeld in order to secure the local water supply. The village developed and became the longest one-street-village of Bayern with a total length of 7km. It gained the status of an independent municipality in 1842. Colonists from other parts of Germany took up residence here since the 1830ies. This caused double entities of churches, schools etc., one for the Catholic original people and one for the Protestant new settlers. After the end of WW2 many expelled people from Eastern Germany settled down in Königsbrunn. The number of inhabitants increased from 3,000 inhabitants in 1939 up to 11,000 inhabitants in 1967. In the same year Königsbrunn gained the title of a city. The arms display a well (German: Brunnen) and a crown as representation of a king (German: König). They are thus canting. The tinctures are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, to which the area belonged until 1803.
