Description of coat of arms:
The red shield is divided by a silver(=white) bend sinister, which is superimposed by three red heraldic roses, barbed green and seeded golden(=yellow).
Meaning:
According to source the colours red and white had been chosen arbitrarily. The roses are canting. Furthermore they are symbolizing the former municipalities of Darfeld, Holtfeld and Osterwick. Rosendahl was established, when the three muncipalities were united.
