Shield Azure a church Argent, seen from the South, with one belfry and red roofs topped by two crosslets Or.
Meaning:
The name of the town often changed, e.g. Neukirchen, Neunkirchen, Neukirchen vor dem Böheimer Wald or Neukirchen im Aigen. Neukirchen gained the rights of a market town in 1377. The privilege, including the right to use proper arms, got lost during the Hussite Wars. It was renewed in 1456. The renewal and seal print from 1514 already displayed the current pattern. Later town seals and literature in the 18th and 19th century sometimes displayed the church with a belfry at sinister, i.e. seen from the North. The tinctures are known by paintings from 1562 and 1565.

The banner is used without approval. The arms were granted around 1420 by Duke Johannes of Straubing-Holland.
