Shield Argent with base Azure cotised white and green, issuant from base a pine Vert, superimposed by a sinister facing magpie statant proper.
Meaning:
The pine is symbolising the local heather landscape. The blue base the small name giving river. The magpie (German: Elster) is a punning element.
