Shield Argent an inescutcheon Vert chraged with two parts of a plough share, in base surrounded by a wreath Sable, on central base point hammer and mallet Sable in saltire.
Meaning:
Since 1520 Mildenau had been a place of mining of silver, tin, copper and cobalt, represented in the arms by hammer and mallet. The plough share is stressing the rural character of the municipality. The wreath has an arid branch at dexter and a sapful branch at sinister. There are different interpretations of the wreath, e.g. life and death, growth and seasons, good and dying environment. The arms are based on a parish seal from 1670.
