Meaning:
Sulzburg was ruled by the Lords of Üsenberg and was made a city around 1250. The main business line even then had been mining. The current arms are based on the first city seal from the late 13th century. The pattern was only slightly changed through the centuries and was kept on occasion of the confirmation of city rights in 1950.
