Shield parted per pale; at dexter Or a demi-eagle Sable, armed and tongued Gules and couped per pale; at sinister Argent an eradicated beech Gules with seven leaves; base Azure charged with a wooden bathtub Or in front of two barrulets wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The village had been a spa since the 16th century and gained the prefix "Bad" in 1948. This is symbolised by the charges in base. The demi-eagle is a differentiation of the arms of the Benedictine Ettal Abbey and alluding to its founder, King Ludwig the Bavarian, who founded the abbey in 1332. The beech displays the canting arms of the Convent of Rottenbuch (English: red beech). Abbey and convent had been the most important manorial lords until both were secularised in 1803.
