Shield Gules, an abased fess wavy Argent, above a grapevine Or with six berries and two leaves.
Meaning:
The grapevine is representing viticulture, the fess wavy the little Sulm River. The number of berries is symbolising the number of former municipalities. Five of them formed Obersulm on 1 May 1972, the sixth municipality was added on 1 January 1975
