Aach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a lion rampant double queued Or, flanked at sinister by three 6-point stars Argent.
Meaning:
A settlement just beside the namesake village developed to a city in the 13th century. The current pattern had already displayed in the oldest seal, formed like a shield, with prints since 1306. Aach was purchased by the Habsburg kin before 1300, and thus the lion is considered to be taken from theHabsburg arms. The stars had been there from the very beginning and are probably just a distinguishing mark. The tinctures were approved again in 1902.
