Description of coat of arms:
In a blue shield a silver (= white) mattock and a spade of the same colour are crossed per saltire. They are superimposed by a wheel of the same colour having eight spokes.
Meaning:
All elements are agricultural tools. They are used as symbols of the village since 1859. Before there existed a wheel spider crowned by a little cross, similar to an imperial globe, all beneath an initial "M". The pattern was used e.g. on boundary stones.
