Shield Sable a bend wavy Argent, charged with a sword Azure in bend.
Meaning:
The arms are a differentiation of the family arms of the Lords of Finning, also known as Lords of Vindingen. The family owned Oberfinning Castle and numerous estates. They sold all their possessions in 1370 and had been reeves of the Dukes of Bayern since then. Their family arms displayed a man with hat and the bend wavy in a black field, probably alluding to the little Windach River. In the crest was among others a sword. The municipal arms were designed by the e elements (bend wavy and sword). The tinctures blue and white are those of Bayern.
