Shield Or parted by a chevron Gules pointing to dexter, flanked by three crosslets patty Gules.
Meaning:
The chevron is taken from the arms of the Lords of Pflugdorf, whose existence is proven in the 13th and 14th century. The crosslets are representing the parish churches of Pflugdorf, Stadl and Vilgertshofen and are also symbolising the close relationships to the monasteries of Wessobrunn and Dießen. Vilgertshofen was first mentioned in 940. In 1970 Pflugdorf and Stadl merged. The new municipality was renamed Pflugdorf-Stadl and incorporated the municipalities of Issing and Mundraching in 1972. On 15 May 1973 the municipality got its current name, as Vilgertshofen was well known by its church of pilgrimage and its "mute cortege".
