Shield Or, a cogwheel Gules, partially superimposed by a pile Azure.
Meaning:
The cogwheel is representing the local industries, processing iron, wood and plastics. Iron ore production had been also in the municipality until 1956. The pile is representing the church tower of Ehringshausen chapel in late Gothic style. The municipality was established on on 1 January 1977, when the municipalities of Breitenbach, Daubhausen, Ehringshausen, Katzenfurt, Kölschhausen und Niederlemp had been united.
On 9 February 1977 the symbols were approved by the municipality, but they already had been in use by the former municipality before.
