Shield Azure an abased fess embowed Or, two demi-ibexes respectant Argent, in chief three coronets Or ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The three coronets are said to be the apocryphal arms of the Agilolfings. Members of this kin had been kings of the Lombards and in service of the Merowingians (Franconian Kings) also Dukes of Bayern and Schwaben. Furthermore they founded the Tegernsee Abbey. The village was first mentioned in 1017 as Otolfingen. It remained a possession of the abbey until 1803, when all ecclesiastical dominions were secularised. The ibexes are taken from the family arms of the Counts of Kurz of Senftenau, who ruled the village since 1656 as part of the County of Valley. The embowed fess is symbolising the devil's rift (German: Teufelsgraben), a local valley.
