Shield Argent, a branch of apple tree Vert with three apples Gules ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
Oberschwarzach and Unterschwarzach had been a municipality until 1823. They were divided but reunited on 1 January 1972. The local court seals displayed an apple branch with three apples since 1786. This pattern was used by both separarted municipalities in the 19th century with minor diffences. Oberschwarzach added leaves to the former pattern as a distinguishing mark in 1913. The meaning of the branch is unknown. The reunited municipality overtook the arms of Oberschwarzach.
