Mühlenbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a bend wavy Azure, beneath Or a lower demi-millwheel Gules.
Meaning:
The village was first mentioned in 1234 as "Milenbach". It had been a possession of the Counts of Fürstenberg until 1806. The oldest local seal displayed eagle and orle nebuly from the Fürstenberg arms, the eagle however had an inescutcheon upon his breast, displaying the current municipal arms. In the 19th century the inescutcheon alone was used as municipal coat of arms, which was considered to be canting (millwheel and creek). In 1633 there had been 16 watermills in the village. The tinctures were fixed in 1906.
