Aidenbach Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a bend wavy Argent superimposed by a double hook Or.
Meaning:
As part of the Haidenburg district (Bavarian: Hofmark) the market town was not entitled to use proper seals. In 1723 the family arms of its owners, the Barons of Closen, a black swan armed red on a golden shield, are denoted as arms of the town. Proper town arms are first mentioned in 1811. The bend wavy was depicted either white or green by literature of the 19th century. The meaning of the hook is unknown since 1811, it was probably a local symbol. The bend wavy is a representation of the name giving creek. But on seals and arms it is sometimes simplified to a mere bend.

The banner probably is in use without approval. The arms are in use since 1811.
