Meaning:
Between 1973 and 1975 the municipalities of Hamberg, Neuhausen, Schellberg and Steinegg merged. The municipality kept more or less the arms of its namesake predecessor, which had a base Vert. After the merger the base got the tinctures of the Barons of Gemmingen, former rulers in the four municipalities. The "new" house is considered to be canting.
