Shield Azure, a well Or, pouring water Argent out of two tubes, in chief three 6-point stars Or.
Meaning:
The well (German: Brunnen, in proper names also Bronn) is canting and representing Öschelbronn, which was incorporated into Niefern in 1971. It appeared already in local seals, proven since 1755. The stars are taken from the personal arms of the Badenian Chancellor Achtsynit (1526-1592). He received Niefern Castle as a donation from the margrave and he reconstructed it as a manor house. Achtsynit also founded a mill, which became the base of a nowadays paper mill. The tinctures were taken from the arms of the Lords of Niefern.
