On 1 January 2008 the former subcounties of Kropp and Stapelholm were dissolved, forming of the Kropp-Stapelholm Subcounty. Kropp became capital of the new subcounty.

Bergenhusen Municipal Coat of Arms

The green shield is divided by two silver (= white) barrulets wavy. A statant white stork (Latin: Ciconia ciconia) in natural colour is superimposing the barrulets.
Meaning:
The green colour is symbolising agriculture, meadows and groves. Bergenhusen is known as "village of storks". Numerous pairs are breeding every year in this municipality. The barrulets are symbolising the little rivers Treene and Sorge.

Börm Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is quarterly divided into green and golden (= yellow). The 1st and 2nd quarter are displaying the gable side of a settler's house in counterchanged colours. The 3rd and 4th quarter are showing two spades crossed per saltire also in counterchanged colours. A segment is exceeding the lower quarters.
Meaning:
The colours are symbolising the landscape, wet meadows (green) and sandy moraines (yellow). The house is symbolising the former municipality of Neubörm. The spades are symbolising the drainage of the former Lake of Barme, from which the name is derived. It means a hill, which is symbolised by the exceeding parts of the lower quarters.

The shield is divided per fess wavy. Above in a silver (= white) field is a blackcock in natural colour. Below in a green field is a half, silver (= white) wheel.
Meaning:
The blackcock and the green colour are symbolising the meadows and swamps around the Treene river. The wheel is symbolising agriculture, the main business line. The wavy line is symbolising the Treene river.

Erfde Municipal Coat of Arms

The green shield is divided by two silver (= white) barrulets wavy. A golden bell fixed on a y-shaped pole, a so called farmer's bell, is superimposing the barrulets.
Meaning:
The green colour is symbolising agriculture as a source of wealth and an important business line. The barrulets are symbolising the rivers Eider and Sorge. Erfde had been the biggest village in the Stapelholm district since the 20th century. The farmer's bell had been an instrument of communication gathering the farmer's in case of assemblies and probably also in case of danger.

It is green over white horizontal bicolour. The top of the green stripe is divided by a horizontal white line. The bottom of the white stripe is divided by a horizontal green line. The municipal coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Groß Rheide Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per fess wavy. Above in a silver (= white) field is bunch of three green oak leaves with two acorns. Below in a green field are three silver (= white) ears of grain ordered fessy.
Meaning:
The oak ensemble is symbolising the former woods of oak trees. After they had been rooted out, the area was transformed into acres. This is symbolised by the ears of grain. The wavy line is symbolising the local creek Rheider Au. Finally the green colour is symbolising the pastures for the cattle.

Klein Bennebek Municipal Coat of Arms

The golden (= yellow) shield is divided by two blue fesses wavy. Between the fesses is a red farmhouse flanked by two green oak leaves.
Meaning:
The yellow colour is symbolising the moraines. The red house between the two fesses is canting. The name is drived from "binnen de beken" (Engl.: between the creeks). The leaves are representing the oak woods in the local heather landscape.

The shield is divided per bend sinister. Above right in a golden (= yellow) field is a red bull's head. Below in a green field are three silver (= white) oak leaves ordered sinister bendy. The leaves are yellow on the flag.
Meaning:
The bull's head is symbolising the location alongside the historical ox trail. The oak leaves are symbolising the woods in the heather of Kropp in the middle ages.

Shield parted per fess wavy of Vert and Azure, chief thrice embowed Or, between the two halfs three barrulets wavy Argent, over all a staff Or in pale.
Meaning:
The arms combine the arms of the former municipalities of Norderstapel and Süderstapel (details see below), which merged in 2018.

Norderstapel Municipal Coat of Arms

The green shield is divided by a silver (= white) barrulet wavy. The lower half of a golden (= yellow) upright staff is superimposing the barrulet. The golden (= yellow) chief is thrice embowed, forming a mountain with three peaks.
Meaning:
The mountain is symbolising Twiebarg, a local dune. The green colour is symbolising the meadows alongside the Treene river. The staff, called Mörserkeule (lit.: mortar mace) or "column of justice", was a symbol of a historical law court and is symbolising its existence in this place. The staff is also symbolising close relationships to Süderstapel.

Meaning:
The staff, also denominated as Mörserkeule (lit.: mortar mace) or "column of justice", was a symbol of a historical law court and used by a chairman of the locals vested with legal capacity in assemblies. The staff was taken from the historical seal of the Stapelholm district. The barrulets are symbolising the rivers Eider, Sorge and Treene. The colours blue and yellow are those of the former duchy of Schleswig.

Meaning:
The typical freighting ship with one mast is symbolising that Tielen, located on the north bank of river Eider had been the most important shipping village on river Eider in the past.The barrulets are symbolising the river.

Meaning:
The fesses are symbolising the rivers Treene and Sorge. The trees are a canting element. Wohlde means a woody hill.
