Shield parted per fess, above Argent a dragon passsant Gules, beneath Gules fretty Argent.
Meaning:
Neualbenroth gained the status of a market town in 1930 and the title of a spa in 1998 and was renamed to Bad Neualbenreuth. The lower is taken from the city arms of Eger, were the lattice appeared in the lower half since the 13th century. Neualbenreuth had been part of a common cognisance of the Cistercian Waldsassen Monastery and the Free Imperial City of Eger (nowadays: Cheb). The dragon was part of the arms of the Counts of Cham-Vohburg and of those of the monastery as well. The monastery ruled the biggest part of the village.
